We are seeking a candidate with relevant work experience working with finance systems and in systems development. A high degree of experience with the Technology One application is essential.

To be successful in this role, you will also bring:

  • Relevant tertiary professional accounting qualification or relevant job experience,
  • The ability to meet the criteria to hold a NZ Government security clearance,
  • Must have a high degree of experience with the TechnologyOne application and modules,
  • Demonstrated commitment to the provision of high quality, responsive customer service,
  • Experience in writing financial management reports in FMIS,
  • Experience in developing and maintaining internal controls for finance processes,
  • An action-oriented approach to solving problems, addressing defects or requests, showing energy, determination, and persistence to achieve results and solutions,
  • The ability to be innovative and think outside the box,
  • Excellent working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Windows applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word,
  • Considerable experience in communicating and influencing, including building, and maintaining strong productive working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders,
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities:

KŌRERO MŌ TE TŪRANGA | ABOUT THE ROLE

The Systems Accountants are responsible for the efficient operation of the Technology One financial management and payroll systems (FMIS) across multiple Government Agencies.
The focus of this role is to ensure systems are maintained to a high standard and continue to be developed to meet the changing needs of our customers. You will be part of a strong and dynamic systems accounting team that is central to the smooth and efficient operation of the system. To ensure we meet our customer expectations these roles will be predominantly office based.
