Overview:
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is a Global Aerospace and Defense Company. Every day, people around the world depend on our products for their safety and security. We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator 2 to join our team! In this role, you will manage cloud system administration and messaging services. Your responsibilities will include providing operational support for the organization’s information systems and peripheral equipment such as application servers, database servers, web servers, desktops, printers and storage devices.

Major Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and supports the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems.
  • Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery, and file maintenance to promote uptime and efficient performance.
  • Acquires, installs, and tests system software upgrades and computer components.
  • Configures software and resolves technical problems.
  • Maintains documentation of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Discipline/Major: IT
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Cloud System Administration experience (OCI, Azure). Knowledge in Messaging Services. Experience with Managed VMs, Native automation/monitoring, Disaster Recovery, O365 Suite, Messaging Services and managing Flexpod and other converged systems.

TRAVEL:

    Pay Range (USD): $59,500.00 - $110,500.00 Benefits: Employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and basic life insurance as well as pre-tax spending accounts.
