Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY

In this hybrid role reporting to the Director, Information Technology, you will be responsible for the day-to-day requirements of the IT functions at Ocean Wise. You will provide desktop and user support (software and hardware), network support, installation and troubleshooting, maintain inventory; perform IP phone and voicemail maintenance, and provide Microsoft 365/Entra user maintenance service including cloud infrastructure, applications and services which are primarily focused around Microsoft 365 and Salesforce.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Provide maintenance and support for office network, remote workers and systems by:

  • Managing the Jira Service Management ticketing system by triaging and working tickets that are assigned or self-assigned.
  • Providing desktop support on Microsoft Windows and MacOS Desktops, including and deploying system configuration with device management using Microsoft Intune;
  • Creating and updating user and system documentation, processes and procedures in Atlassian Confluence;
  • Providing user software support for Windows, Office, line of business applications, mobile devices and cloud applications;
  • Maintaining accurate and timely Software and Hardware Inventory Control;
  • Managing the entire device lifecycle for on-site and remote devices including procurement, distribution, refresh, inventory, recall and disposal. Deliver devices in person on-site and via courier for remote workers.
  • Maintaining user account through Microsoft Entra, Office 365, line of business applications and cloud applications including Single Sign on and user provisioning with SCIM;
  • Providing AV support including microphones, mixers and projectors as well as occasional live event support for hybrid meetings;
  • General hardware and systems maintenance;
  • Other related IT services, as required.

Help with planning and implementing new IT infrastructure services as required by:

  • Providing feedback for improvements for the use of the present systems and equipment;
  • Working with the Director of IT to plan and implement new systems and technologies as required.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS NEEDED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Participating in cross-training developmental opportunities with the other members of the IT group;
  • Providing IT support for all other technologies, including payment technologies, AV technologies and Office tools, in use at the organization, as needed.
  • Ensuring that Ocean Wise staff can make the best use of their computer resources by providing technical support and user training;
