Location: Remote (Texas Residents Only)
Duration: January 6, 2025 – August 31, 2025
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (may require weekends, evenings, or holidays as needed)
JOB OVERVIEW:
Our client is seeking a skilled Systems Analyst 2 to support the migration of the integrated resident information system (IRIS), which includes multiple healthcare platforms such as Cerner Millennium, Dentrix, CareTracker, and RLDatix Risk Module, to a new SaaS solution. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analyzing business needs, designing workflows, managing data migrations, and ensuring system compatibility. This position requires a highly motivated professional with a strong background in healthcare IT systems, database management, and excellent communication skills.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must meet or exceed the following requirements to be considered:
- 7 years of experience in database management systems and data migration, with a focus on healthcare EHR systems such as Cerner Millennium.
- 7 years of experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar databases, and proficiency in tools like Excel, Word, and Visio.
- 7 years of experience in business analysis, including reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements and operational procedures.
- 7 years of experience documenting business process flows and standardizing process improvements.
- 7 years of experience preparing specifications for data input/output processes.
- 7 years of experience applying strong analytical skills to resolve complex data-related issues.
- 7 years of experience with exceptional oral and written communication skills for clear documentation and stakeholder engagement.
- 7 years of experience in fostering collaboration and productivity within diverse teams.
- 7 years of knowledge of IT industry trends and the ability to apply them strategically.
- 7 years of experience with architectural concepts and tools related to infrastructure, information systems, and applications.
- 2 years of experience (preferred) with SaaS model EHR systems and cloud data migrations.
- 2 years of experience (preferred) with the Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates.
- 2 years of experience (preferred) with software architecture and infrastructure components.
- 2 years of experience (preferred) in regulatory compliance and data security for healthcare data.
Responsibilities:
- Migration Planning & Workflow Integration (40%)
- Lead comprehensive planning, data assessment, cleansing, and mapping for migration to the new SaaS solution.
- Design and implement workflows that integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
- Document all phases of the migration process and engage with clinical and IT stakeholders for requirements gathering.
- Ensure clear communication throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Compliance & Data Integrity (10%)
- Ensure the migration design adheres to HHSC standards.
- Establish validation and auditing processes to maintain data integrity post-migration.
- Testing & Debugging (25%)
- Develop and execute unit test scripts and manage test scenarios.
- Analyze test results, debug issues, and ensure compliance with software development and testing standards.
- Stakeholder Communication & Reporting (15%)
- Provide regular migration progress updates to stakeholders, including managers, technical leads, developers, and business analysts.
- Utilize ticketing systems for problem resolution and prepare presentations explaining migration processes and technical challenges.
- Post-Migration Support (10%)
- Facilitate smooth system transitions through user training and comprehensive documentation.
- Recommend strategies to optimize system performance based on feedback and performance metrics.
