Description:
SUMMARY
The Systems Analyst supports the Operations team in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of technological systems and processes across the organization. This role focuses on implementing and optimizing technical solutions to increase operational efficiency, particularly in the areas of data management and process automation. The Systems Analyst is an exempt, full-time, temporary position that reports to the Senior Vice President, Operations at the Newport Beach office.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, or Economics
- 4+ years of administrative/internal customer service experience, preferably in a financial arena
- 2+ years of retirement plan administration, particularly in the context of data calculation, interdepartmental work/information flows, and sales procedures
- Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power Automate, as well as Dataverse
- Advanced-level proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with CRM systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on data integrity and accuracy
- Strong internal and external customer service skills
- Ability to compose/proof original correspondence: letters, email, while translating complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation
- Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, while respecting established roles and responsibilities
- Must be extremely detail oriented and possess strong work ethic
- Knowledge of governmental pension plans preferred
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) coursework preferre

Responsibilities:
- Work with the Senior Vice President, Operations, the Senior Software Administrator, and other key stakeholders to analyze current processes and procedures across the organization, determine needs, and provide detailed recommendations for improvement
- Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of new tools and features related to retirement calculations and enrollment, ensuring they integrate with both legacy technology and modern systems like Dynamics 365, Power Automate and Power BI
- Work with the Operations, Analysis, Plan Implementation, and Software Development teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity and the seamless integration and functionality of new tools
- Aid in company assessment of the suitability/feasibility of integrating AI tools like Microsoft Copilot Studio to enhance operational efficiency; if adopted, contribute to data selection/preparation, model training, and ongoing optimization to ensure effective deployment and performance
- Assist in the creation of detailed documentation, user guides, and instructional videos for all new processes and tools
- Provide training and ongoing support to end-users on new tools ensuring clarity for end-users and ensuring smooth adoption and usage
- Assist the Senior Vice President, Operations and the Vice President, Corporate & Facilities with IT support, including help desk internal customer support and the setup/deployment of new user workstations/notebooks/etc.
- Assist in the development, update, and deployment of company/department templates
- Assist other departments as needed during busy times
- Other duties and projects as required
