Description:

Systems and Mission Analysis Engineer to own mission analysis, systems modelling and analysis activities supporting development of Orbex Prime. Ideally you will have experience of flight dynamics and modelling vehicle performance rather than deep subsystem modelling.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

While we don’t expect you to have experience of all of the following, experience in some of these areas would be desirable for the role and provide a good indication of the tasks you will be involved with in this role

  • 5 years + industry experience in MATLAB/Simulink, or Python, creating complex models representing systems functions and performances.
  • Experience with launch vehicles / rocket systems desired but not essential
  • Trajectory optimization desired but not essential
  • GMAT, ASTOS or Orbital STK desired but not essential
  • Space mission concept and design experience beneficial but not essential
  • Flight Safety and Risk Assessment experience beneficial but not essential

Location – Forres
Our roles need to be on-site in Scotland due to the nature of the position, export controls and security. This role is based in Forres at Orbex’s headquarters.
Orbex Forres is located at the foot of the Scottish Highlands, near Inverness. It’s close to the spectacular coastline, wild beaches, and amazing wildlife of the Moray Firth, as well as being a short distance from the world-famous Loch Ness, and Aviemore ski resort.
