EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • Min 2 years’ experience in an administrative role within IT
  • Basic working knowledge of Monitoring systems
  • Proficient in English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
  • Administrative/ data capturing skills and experience
  • Certifications
  • Official Comptia A+and/or Comptia N+ (advantage only)

Responsibilities:

In line with our key strategic goals, we strive to provide clients with an exceptional level of support experience by proactive monitoring, detecting, and resolving warning alert related incidents before they cause downtime to our clients, whilst doing more with less using automation. Reactive monitoring, detecting, and resolving Monitoring Service events/ alerts to restore services ASAP, whilst ensuring timeous, frequent, comprehensive, and professional communication toward resolution, resorting to a workaround or failover service in the interim. Being the face of Reflex!
As a Systems Assistant, you will assist the Systems Engineer and Chief Digital Officer with various data capturing, information handling and administrative tasks. You will take ownership of the accuracy, completeness, and relevance, of data/ information within various applications in line with Best Practice and Reflex Policies and Process, thus reducing poor decision making – ensuring we do not provide poor information via inefficient data management practices. The Systems Assistant will participate administrative tasks in relation to core infrastructure upgrades and network improvement projects to ensure that our client infrastructure is managed in line with industry best practice. As a competent Systems Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced environment, to provide fast and efficient, and accurate data capturing abilities with basic Excel Pivoting experience. A Systems Assistant must have very basic technical knowledge, excellent administrative abilities and must be able to communicate effectively to understand the nature of the work.
The goal is to create value for clients that will help preserve the company’s reputation and business.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Key Responsibility 1
  • Support requests and issues with our core monitoring application (PRTG) in relation to sensors working correctly, configuring dependencies, thresholds and notification parameters.
  • Assist with key projects to configure new monitoring instances and new customers.
  • Key responsibility 2
  • Data Capturing: Data Entry into various applications - Accurately capture information from Project work related to client onboarding, new services and Change Management process.
  • Edit current systems information, subjected to Change Management
  • Compare and vet the entered information with the source, based on Reflex processes, to identify errors and correct such errors.
  • Consistently check reports and data for accuracy and completeness, also checking the work of other staff who access these applications.
