Job Description:
As a Specialist, Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a diverse technical team on the MOSSAIC Ground-Based Electro-Optic Deep Space Surveillance (GEODSS) team. This position supports the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) division, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. In this position, you will bring your systems engineering background to a system engineering role where you can make a broad impact to programs and projects that are critical to our customers!

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or adjacent fields and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance

Responsibilities:

  • As a Specialist, Systems Engineer on the GEODSS team, you will be expected to work with procurement systems and possess an understanding of System Installation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain physical, functional, and technical requirements, to include interface specifications
  • Complete requirements elicitation, derivation, and decomposition
  • Perform mission analysis with skill developing use cases, sequence diagrams, and SysML models in support of MBSE
  • Interpret and modify engineering drawings
  • Participate as an integrated team supporting sustainment and modernization of the Ground-Based Electro-Optic Deep Space Surveillance (GEODSS) system
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors
  • Ability to negotiate solutions among functional groups (Systems Engineering, Mission Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.)
  • Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experience
  • Strong coordination and organization skills with a focus on details
  • Proficient with domain knowledge (space systems engineering, ground optical systems, general systems)
  • Participate in agile execution, MBSE, and requirements analysis.
  • Possess interpersonal leadership skills with support to customers, including meetings and briefings.
  • Possess DoD engineering experience, System Development Life Cycle knowledge, Familiarity with DoD 5000.
  • Experience with DoD Systems Engineering artifacts (SEP, SEMP, TEMP, CMP, DMP).
  • Experience with INCOSE requirements writing guide.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $74,000.00 - $138,000.00 (salary ranges in other locations could differ). This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
