Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of this position is to manage infrastructure at aPriori. Ideal candidates will have a passion for automation and continuous improvement. As part of the IT Operations team, you’ll work to enhance the reliability, availability, and recoverability of our services.
A strong desire to learn is essential for this role, as you’ll be exposed to a diverse array of technologies that will challenge and expand your skill set. You’ll leverage automation and configuration management to streamline processes and empower both our team and the broader organization

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related area, or equivalent experience
  • Open to graduates; industry experience from projects, internships, or placements in IT discipline is desirable
  • 1-3 years professional experience
  • Demonstrated strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Proficient across multiple operating systems, applications, and hardware platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on delivering outstanding customer service
  • Basic proficiency with at least one programming or scripting language (PowerShell is a strong plus)
  • Fundamental understanding of computer networking principles
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Chef, Ansible) with Ansible being highly desirable
  • Optional / Bonus Experience: Virtualization Technology / Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS/Azure) / Version Control systems (e.g., Git)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and enhance the infrastructure supporting our team.
  • Utilize configuration management tools and automation to deploy new services and improve the efficiency and recoverability of existing ones.
  • Coordinate with the Security team to address findings and implement security baselines to enhance our security measures.
  • Coordinate with IT operations, service desk and security teams to create, manage and ensure timely resolution of tickets.
  • Manage and complete various assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Restructure and update our source code repositories to ensure optimal organization and efficiency.
  • Create, maintain, and improve scripts to empower the Service Desk with enhanced capabilities.
  • Provide support for escalated Service Desk issues
  • Manage and guide our infrastructure in Cloud (e.g., AWS) toward our desired future state
  • Oversee and improve our backup and disaster recovery processes and procedures.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems, processes and procedures to ensure clear understanding and reproducibility
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for peers to enhance their understanding and use of our systems and tools
