POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Systems Engineer II is focused on the design, construction, testing, implementation and optimization of infrastructure systems.

An Office 365 administrator’s job description includes:

• Designing and implementing services: Designing, implementing, and supporting Office 365 services that enable security, mobility, collaboration, and analytics
• Managing user accounts: Developing and managing user accounts, groups, and licenses
• Ensuring security: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect data and applications
• Providing technical support: Troubleshooting issues and providing technical support to end users
• Training users: Educating users on new features and best practices
• Monitoring performance: Regularly monitoring system performance and usage
• Maintaining documentation: Developing and maintaining documentation and training materials for end-users and IT staff
• Staying up-to-date: Staying up-to-date with emerging Microsoft 365 technologies and trends
• Collaborating with other teams: Collaborating with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure Microsoft 365 solutions align with organizational goals

Required

• Strong communication skills

• Experience with monitoring, reporting, management, and optimization tools regarding systems
• Strong passion for technology and ability to stay current
• Familiarity with automation tools preferred
• Ability to design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Expertise in ITIL and Services Management Principles

Certificates / Training:

• Preferred: ITIL v3 Foundational+ certification, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)

Experience:

Level II

• 3+ years systems engineering
• Preferred: 5+ years of IT experience

Education:

Required

• Bachelor’s in Information Technology or equivalent
