The position of Information Systems Engineer will assist in maintaining proper functionality of our systems and to provide internal support whenever needed.
The Systems Engineer role serves as a technical position within Mulcahy’s IT Department. The Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring that IT infrastructure is maintained and developed according to Mulcahy’s standards and alignment with Mulcahy expectations. The Systems Engineer will be a technical resource for other members of the IT Department. The Systems Engineer is responsible for further development of IT environments, processes and training. The Systems Engineer reports directly to the IT Manager.

• Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) or more years in the Information Technology field.
• o Typical degrees: Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field(s).
• o We are always open to proven success and experience in lieu of a degree: two (2) years in the technology field or relevant industry certifications.
• Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adjust to difference audiences ranging from employee to executive.
• Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration.
• Demonstrated project management skills and proven ability to prioritise.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
• Demonstrated experience with Office 365/Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure Entra, Windows Server, and other applications or IT systems
• Demonstrated experience of network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, access points, etc.).

• A current driver’s license and vehicle. Working out of the Ballarat office will be required at times and during your probation period. We have sites nationally and you will be required to travel to these sites on occasion.
