Description:

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Systems Engineer in SAINT LOUIS, Missouri. This role operates within the IT industry, and will involve the provision of technical mentorship, assistance in system selection and implementation, network maintenance and optimization, and acting as an escalation point for advanced requests and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical mentor to the internal support team, elevating their skills and setting standards, policies, and procedures in line with security best practices.
  • Assist in the selection and implementation of IT support systems including ITSM, RMM, MDR, and Anti-virus as we transition to internally maintained applications.
  • Maintain and optimize network configuration across multiple locations, including firewall and switch configurations, and respond to down detection in a timely manner.
  • Act as a technology consultant, providing 2nd tier and white-glove technical assistance and support related to computer systems, networking equipment, UPS devices, Printers, ISPs and 3rd party software and hardware.
  • Implement and support functionality in Azure Compliance and Security Centers.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure reliable operation of systems for business objectives with proper disaster recovery and restorative procedures in place.
  • Support or Lead incident response plans and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot complex software, hardware, and network issues.
  • Provide direction and guidance on site, and act as the point person during IT project implementations.
  • Create and update documentation on M365, ISP, hardware, software, 3rd party vendors, and for new and existing infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies such as AWS and Microsoft Azure
  • Extensive experience in database management and administration
  • Demonstrated skill in Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Familiarity with backup technologies for data security and recovery
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and MS Office 365
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues effectively
  • Experience in setting up and managing conference rooms for various business needs
  • Strong client engagement and management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and maintain positive relationships with clients
  • Ability to understand and adapt to changing client needs and expectations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Willingness to continue learning and improving technical skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
