Description:

We’re seeking a senior technical professional with a broad knowledge of system infrastructure products with a focus on Microsoft Enterprise products. The Systems Engineer will participate in and lead implementations, upgrades, and the day-to-day operations of solutions for a variety of infrastructure systems.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

8-10 years’ experience in IT as an Infrastructure Specialist
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
A strong understanding of IT security principles/fundamentals
3-5 years of Nutanix configuration and ongoing support maintenance
MCSE Certification or equivalent experience
Azure Fundamentals certificate or higher
Microsoft Office 365
Microsoft Windows Server 2019+
Device Management with Windows Intune
Microsoft IAM
Non-Microsoft technologies such as CommVault, Veeam, Cisco, Juniper, VMWare, Zerto
Proven cloud and on-prem automation experience
Knowledge of AI fundamentals
PowerShell and Python scripting

Responsibilities:

Work with Stikeman Elliott Enterprise Architecture to transition high-level technology decisions/concepts into system designs/blueprints and tactical build/deployment plans
Perform deployment, testing, and support activities
Plan and execute implementations including coordinating activities with other teams outside of IT
Manage and optimize workloads for both data center and cloud environments
Manage cloud-hosted solutions leveraging on PaaS, IaaS or SaaS
Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure efficient planning, execution, and supportability
Work with our Security team to deploy Security Solutions
Provide ongoing management, monitoring and troubleshooting
Follow operational policies and processes that are compliant with ITIL standards
Participate in change control activities
Conduct scheduled system maintenance activities
