JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for someone who has experience of being a strategic lead and overseeing workstreams to join us at the House of Lords. This is an exciting opportunity to implement a new system (iTrent) and work as a Senior Business User for the House of Lords on the Programme Board.
You’ll be joining our Employee Experience and Reward team as the Systems Implementation Lead in our HR office. In this role you will work closely with our colleagues in HR and Finance to ensure that the system that is implemented meets the requirements of the House of Lords, whilst also delivering benefits.
Your work will have meaningful impact, and you will be representing the needs of the HR and Payroll teams in programme discussions. This opportunity is hybrid with a mixture of working from home and on the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Parliamentary Estate.

Responsibilities:
YOU’LL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
- Being the strategic lead for the House of Lords HR and Payroll teams in the HR & Payroll Systems Programme, providing assurance to the House of Lords Oversight Group and the HR/ Payroll Programme Board.
- Advocating for the Lords’ objectives, timelines, and values in all project decisions, and being the conduit between the programme team and the HR and Payroll teams, ensuring that messages and initiatives are communicated clearly.
- Working collaboratively with the Continuous Improvement & Systems Manager to ensure that the transition from implementation to business as usual (BAU) is planned and structured.
- Responsibility for engaging with all stakeholders in the Lords Administration to encourage engagement, taking on feedback and tailoring your approach appropriately.
- Working closely with the implementation partner to ensure that the system meets the requirements of the House of Lords and delivers benefits that improve the working lives of colleagues across the House of Lords.
- Leveraging relationships across parliament to influence and lead the House of Lords implementation.
- Understand and represent the needs of the HR and Payroll teams in programme discussions, drafting and presenting formal papers as needed.
- Identify opportunities to champion the new system, finding solutions to long standing issues, engaging colleagues in hard-to-reach areas and ensuring that every colleague in the Lords understands that this system will make their working life better and easier.
