WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Systems Operations Manager to optimize and scale the tools, workflows and systems that power Makeship’s product design and development, customer service, and supply chain. This role will leverage data insights & user feedback to drive improvements, ensure system performance and seamless integrations, and enhance operational efficiency across teams.
Ideal candidates have experience building, managing, and scaling business systems via low-code platforms (e.g., Airtable). Strong stakeholder & project management skills are essential, as this role will lead cross-functional initiatives across the supply chain. Mandarin Chinese fluency is a strong plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain operations, systems management, or business process optimization, with a track record of scaling and managing cross-functional tools and workflows.
  • Expertise in managing and optimizing tools such as low-code SaaS/PaaS platforms (e.g., Airtable), automation/API platforms (e.g., Zapier), ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, Zendesk), and CRM/e-commerce platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Shopify).
  • Strong foundation in data analytics, with experience building dashboards, running (basic) queries (e.g., SQL), and turning data into actionable business insights.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong stakeholder & project management skills — able to lead cross-functional collaboration and manage complex, multi-team initiatives.
  • Driven to deliver high-quality work, achieve operational excellence, and produce impactful outcomes.
  • Eager to learn, grow, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Open to feedback and constantly seeking improvement.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and optimize operational systems across product development, customer service, and supply chain to ensure efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business goals.
  • Lead the development and integration of tools & workflows, ensuring seamless cross-team collaboration and automation, particularly within Airtable and other low-code SaaS/PaaS platforms.
  • Streamline supply chain, manufacturing, and fulfilment processes, enhancing efficiency and improving both internal workflows and customer experience.
  • Own data reporting & analysis, setting up dashboards and tracking key operational metrics to identify improvements across product development, supply chain, and customer service.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders from all teams across Makeship, ensuring tools and initiatives align with broader business strategy and goals.
