About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Systems Operations Manager In this role, you will: Manage a Systems Operations team of analysts that monitor installed systems and infrastructure Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated with the Systems Operations functional area Identify and recommend opportunities within Systems Operations to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention time on technical tasks Make decisions and resolve issues regarding operating systems, application software, and system management tools to meet business objectives Interpret and develop policies and procedures, and understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported system area Collaborate and consult with analysts, Information Technology personnel, or vendors Manage mid to highly experienced analysts Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Systems Operations Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Systems Engineering, and Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 2+ years of Leadership experience Desired Qualifications: Lead L2 support for banking and finance platforms ensuring stability, reliability, and compliance Manage day‑to‑day production support and platform operations Drive operational excellence, automation, and platform modernization Manage L2 support for banking and finance systems, including: Payments and money movement platforms Liquidity and cash management systems General Ledger, Accounting, and Finance reporting platforms Risk, AML, Sanctions, and Compliance applications Ensure availability, performance, and data integrity of finance systems Handle production incidents impacting business, regulatory, or customer outcomes Incident & Triage Management Lead incident triage and resolution for high‑severity production issues Coordinate with L3, engineering, vendors, and business teams Ensure clear communication during incidents and post‑incident reviews SRE & Reliability Practices Apply SRE concepts to finance platforms: Availability, latency, error rates SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets Reduce repeat incidents and operational toil Operating Systems & Platforms Functional knowledge of Linux and Windows environments Support on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud‑hosted banking systems Manage and triage workloads on OpenShift / Kubernetes Support migration of finance applications to container platforms ITIL / Service Management Own and execute ITIL processes: Incident Management Problem Management Change Management Capacity & Availability Management Ensure SLA, RTO, and RPO compliance for regulated systems Observability & Monitoring Monitor finance platforms using logs, metrics, and alerts Use dashboards to track: System health Transaction failures Batch and cut‑off processing Drive proactive issue detection and noise reduction Job Expectations: Automation & Engineering Mindset Promote automation for: Incident triage and recovery Batch monitoring and validation Common operational tasks Encourage use of scripts, runbooks, and self‑healing mechanisms Cloud & GenAI Awareness Foundational understanding of cloud services used in finance platforms Awareness of GenAI use cases in support: Knowledge and runbook retrieval Incident analysis and pattern detection Operational efficiency improvements Apply security, privacy, and regulatory considerations Strong support and production mindset Clear and concise communication Structured problem‑solving approach Experience supporting banking, Risk or finance applications Posting End Date: 23 May 2026 *Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.
