Novarc Technologies is looking for a Systems QA Lead to join our growing team and support the production of our cobots. This role will reside within the Product team working closely with software, hardware and the controls teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of experience running quality testing on software, hardware, and or complete systems within the robotics or a technology industry;
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, software, or technical related fields required;
  • Expert in designing, preparing, and executing test plans, and test cases for software and hardware integrations;
  • Extended knowledge of JIRA/confluence or other project management, issue-tracking, or bug-tracking tools is a must;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Agile frameworks;
  • Strong communication skills and a keen eye for details;
  • An analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude;
  • ISTQB certification would be preferred;
  • Knowledge of robotics or welding would be a plus.
    Schedule: This is a permanent full time position at one of our offices in North Vancouver. We offer a hybrid work environment for most roles; however candidates must be willing and able to commute to the office at least 4 times a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all facets of the QA life cycle for systems testing of the product (Hardware and Software) – Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Test Cases/Scripts and Defect life-cycle management;
  • Perform systems testing and provide feedback to software and hardware teams;
  • Develop and conduct test plans based on functional requirements;
  • Review functional requirements and technical designs to create test plans and detailed test cases;
  • Analyze the system and ensuring the test strategy is aligned with the requirements of the development process;
  • Collaborate with development and engineering team for the purpose of developing effective test plans and strategies;
  • Creating detailed logs for documenting the testing phases and defects;
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality;
  • Other duties as assigned.
