Description:
THE JOB
San Bernardino County is recruiting for Systems Support Analysts II to maintain a variety of computer and datacenter systems. This position performs systems administration, storage administration, and support data center environments utilizing automation. The incumbent will also analyze hardware and software for performance and make recommendations for system upgrades.
Current vacancy exists at Sheriff’s Department. This list may be used to fill other future vacancies throughout the County.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of work experience, within the past five (5) years, performing systems administration at the enterprise-level. Experience must include at least two (2) of the following:
- Administration of Microsoft SQL Server
- Administration of physical and virtual windows servers utilizing Microsoft Server Operating Systems
- Administration of CITRIX or VMware virtualization platforms
- Administration of Web Servers (Windows IIS and/or Apache/WordPress)
- Administration of Enterprise class storage platforms
- Administration of Enterprise data protection/backup systems
- Administration of converged/hyperconverged hardware platforms
- Administration and design of datacenter environmental systems
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- An Associate’s Degree (or higher) in computer information systems or a closely related field.
- Knowledge and experience designing and supporting Datacenter environmental systems and equipment such as power, cooling, and fire suppression systems.
- Experience designing and supporting high-availability infrastructure using the following technology: Microsoft clustering, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft IIS, VMWare virtualization platform, XenServer virtualization platform, Nutanix, HPE 3Par and VEEAM.
- Ability to program in Microsoft C# and experience with HPE C700 blades and enclosures desired for positions at ARMC.
