Description:
Witten LLP is currently seeking a Systems Trainer. We offer competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and a friendly, inclusive, team-oriented environment.
The Systems Trainer will provide firm-wide training and support in all user software programs. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively with the IT Department, Technology Committee, and all firm members to establish, deliver and maintain all levels of training programs to staff and lawyers and to provide one-on-one training and support as needed. Related education and experience in diverse technical and systems training are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Research, develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of all the firm’s mission-critical software.
- Collaborate with IT to set up, configure, and test all necessary software programs for onboarding new hires.
- Identify, develop and deliver thorough position-specific systems training to new hires.
- Develop tailored, logical, thoughtful, and skill-building training materials, physical or virtual, as requested.
- Create and maintain comprehensive, user-friendly learning center materials.
- Providing individual and group in-house training on programs as needed.
- Identifying and maximize software capabilities to end users.
- Identifying advancements or updates to improve workflow and efficiency.
- Communicate, train and test on software deployments, upgrades and cyber-security.
- Respond and provide on-demand user support to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Researching new technology and software advancements and provide recommendations.
- Maintain relationships with software customer support teams where applicable.
Skills and Abilities:
- Superior interpersonal skills in working with firm members to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Highly skilled in planning and executing learning and development programs.
- Excellent analytic skills
- Strong time management skills
- Must be comfortable and confident in public speaking to groups of various sizes
- Solid working knowledge of desktop and portable devices, including mobile phones, laptops, notebooks.
Experience and knowledge:
- Solid knowledge in key Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, Adobe (Acrobat, Pro and Reader)
- Familiarity with iManage, Acumin, and Everlaw is an asset
- Education or equivalent experience in teaching, coaching, adult education or instructional design is an asset
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role or adjacent industry
- Experience in developing and teaching specific technical, application and training courses to diverse audiences
