Job Title: Tactical Site Security Supervisor

Main Responsibilities:
- The Security Supervisor acts as a liaison with the Client and Garda Account Manager addressing issues on security related situations as they arise on shift.
- The Security Supervisor is responsible for effectively supporting necessary personnel, equipment, and processes to fulfil the service commitments to Clients while on duty.
- The Security Supervisor is expected to ensure that Security Personnel are adequately trained, fully equipped, given clear direction and provide continuous and constant encouragement and support.
- The Security Supervisor is expected to always present a professional demeanor in both appearance and behavior and with all interactions as a representative of the property.
- Perform administrative duties of the department as assigned by the Security Manager.
- Continuous training with Security Personnel on the Citizen’s Powers of Arrest under Section 494, Use of Force under Sections 25/26 under the Criminal Code of Canada.
- Continuous training with Security Personnel on the Trespass to Premise Act of Alberta
- Responsible for commending and/or disciplining Security Personnel in conjunction with the Security Manager and GardaWorld Account Manager/Human Resources.
- Daily review of all reports and memo books completed by Security Personnel to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Security Manager and respond to directions from all Shopping Centre Management.
Qualification:
- 1-3 years experience in security supervisor experience
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Valid Alberta Security license
- Must be able to work Tuesday to Saturday - 1500 - 2300
- Exceptional interpersonal skills both oral and written.
- Demonstrated ability to follow operational security measures, protect confidential information, and exercise good judgment and discretion.
- Demonstrated comprehension of the Canadian Criminal Code and Trespass to Property Act powers of arrest
- Must have strong customer service skills, mature attitude and professionalism
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Leadership and mentorship skills
- Able to work in a team environment or independently as required
