POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a dynamic Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join our Human Resources Team based out of Ottawa. The primary focus of the Talent Acquisition Coordinator is to support the Talent Acquisition department in all phases of the recruitment lifecycle. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative and project support to the recruiting team, as well as, building relationships with candidates and hiring managers to help grow the talent pipeline and promote employer branding. This role reports to the Manager, Talent Acquisition.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in related discipline (e.g., Human Resources, Business, or equivalent)
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in Talent/Recruiting Coordination, Administrative/Clerical roles or in a similar/equivalent position supporting high volume of hires
  • Knowledge of Employment Legislation across Canada by Province an asset
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or Human Capital Management Systems i.e. Workday Recruiting experience an asset
  • Responsive and timely communication is key for this role, as this role frequently interacts with varying levels of candidates, hiring managers and other stakeholders
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to maintain a professional, friendly demeanor at all times
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong organizational skills and resourceful
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting administrative processes for all phases and types of talent acquisition, while proactively driving open items to closure
  • Scheduling phone/video and onsite interviews for Recruiters and Hiring Managers
  • Assisting TA team members in creating requisitions and managing the approval workflows in the Workday Human Capital Management System and posting various approved external job and University/College portals
  • Providing an exceptional candidate experience by moving candidates through the process quickly and professionally with clear communication that embodies our customer-focused culture
  • Utilizing creative means and best practices to research, source, attract, and contact possible candidates to develop a diverse pool of qualified candidates
  • Working with Talent Acquisition Team to draft timely and accurate offer packages
  • Ensuring effective and timely new hire onboarding
  • Supporting Talent Acquisition team with new hire follow-up for new hire experience feedback
  • Supporting HUB Employment Branding initiatives
  • Initiate HUB’s standard background checks with outsourced provider and archiving completed background checks.
  • Assist with other projects as assigned
