Primary Function
The Talent Acquisition Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies to attract and engage top talent for the organization. This role involves leading a team of sourcing professionals, leveraging various sourcing channels, and working closely with recruiters and hiring managers to ensure a robust pipeline of qualified candidates. The Talent Acquisition Sourcing Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing the organization’s talent acquisition strategy and meeting hiring goals.
This role will help support the performance and development of a 10-15 person team.
Desired outcomes that this role would be responsible for driving would be:
- Developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies to attract and engage top talent for the organization.
- Creating and executing key processes to support sourcing strategies
- Increased standardization and accountability to create a consistent experience for recruiters partnering with the team
- Develop key performance metrics for the team and hold the team accountable to delivering against them.
Main duties and responsibilities
The Talent Acquisition Manager will directly lead Talent Acquisition Specialists and Talent Acquisition Consultants to maximize the hiring experience through sourcing strategy development, talent pool building, partnership and collaboration as well as Market research and intelligence.
The Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for balancing leading a team while building and implementing processes.
This individual will utilize leadership, project management, process orientation and continuous improvement skills to improve the quality of the Talent Acquisition Specialist processes to ensure internal and external stakeholders have a best in class recruiting experience.
- Establish set of consistent TAS support measures in order to proactively reduce variation in the operational recruiting experience, and find most qualified diverse candidates for the assigned roles.
- Partner across the US TA Leadership team to balance capacity of the team with the capabilities and needs of the US business.
- Create an inclusive environment for the team to develop relationships as well as learn and grow in support of Grainger Edge model and team development.
- Provide coaching and guidance to team members regarding their performance to enable process, efficiency and identification of key talent.
- Demonstrates consultative, relationship building, interpersonal and influence skills in dealing with all levels of HR and business management and is effective at quickly establishing credibility and developing working relationships.
- Open and broaden exposure and experience with organizational leaders and team members in order to fully assess all areas of need within the business unit versus merely the one presented.
- Proactively create open and sustained dialogue sharing value added collaboration by leveraging in the moment coaching, feedback, development, and growth for team members at all levels
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree is required., Human Resources, Education or related field is preferred
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- 5-7 years support in human resources, recruitment or comparable area;
- ATS and strong knowledge of sourcing tools and social media strategies preferred.
- Previous success in influencing without direct authority to effectively manage the needs of multiple variable stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
