Title: Talent Acquisition Manager
Reports To: Director of Human Resources
Based at: Mucci Pac Ltd., Kingsville, Ontario
Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 5 days per week, extended hours depending on workload and priorities, which will include Saturdays, and possible Sundays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 to 7 years’ experience as a Recruiter or Talent Acquisition Specialist
  • Experience managing recruiting teams and determining recruiting strategy for the organization
  • Proficiency with social media, resume databases including LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed
  • Proficiency with ATS systems selection and implementation.
  • Proven experience working with staffing agencies when necessary
  • Hands on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
  • A high degree of urgency and effectiveness is required for this role.
  • Ability to deal with multiple positions simultaneously as well as mass recruitment initiatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong understanding of the various roles within organizations; the ability to recruit at the various levels of the organization
  • Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task and to reprioritize tasks on a daily basis
  • Knowledge of HR related policies and procedures
  • Excellent documentation, communication, computer and time management skills.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
  • Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
  • Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Talent Acquisition team with regard to full-cycle recruiting for both specialized and general labour roles. Determines allocation of roles and priorities for Canada and US facilities.
  • Monitors trends and developments in sourcing tools and technologies and makes recommendations to attract best talent.
  • Manages all job posting platforms for each business unit (Indeed, LinkedIN Recruiter, ADP Workforce Now, etc.), optimizing potential and actual costs and finalizing invoices.
  • Select, maintain, and update ATS system; provide training for Managers, Recruiters and HR staff.
  • Determines internal workflow for recruiting team from sourcing to orientation.
  • Documents and catalogs potential candidates for open searches and proactively builds pipelines of talent for future needs through cold calling/e-mailing, professional networking, resume mining, social media, etc.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs.
  • Determine selection criteria
  • Source potential candidates through online channels (eg: social platforms and professional networks)
  • Identify best practices for recruiting and sourcing candidates to ensure effectiveness for time to hire.
  • Plan interview and selection procedures, including pre-screening candidates, assessments, skills testing, panel interviews, references.
  • Create and update job descriptions to reflect position requirements
  • Organize employer branding initiatives related to recruiting
  • Source and organize various recruitment events such as career fairs, online campaigns, etc.
  • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates.
  • Maintain a database of both active and potential candidates
