We have an exciting opportunity available as a Talent Acquisition Partner! You will be responsible for engaging with our leaders, hiring managers, people function team and potential candidates in providing the highest level of recruitment services. As part of the broader People team, you will work closely with all relevant partners to ensure there is one voice with regard to recruiting and securing future talent!
What you’ll do:
- Deliver high quality support primarily for high volume customer facing front line roles across all markets of Aviva Canada
- Partner with colleagues, leadership and hiring managers to facilitate full-cycle recruiting efforts for all roles, including identifying skills and knowledge requirement, sourcing candidates and facilitating the offer process.
- Proactively source candidates, identify recruitment and talent needs, implement workforce planning strategies, and search assignments.
- Develop an effective pipeline of external talent and actively maintains engagement of the pipeline
- Proactively source and develop applicant pools including diverse segments through the use of personal networks, job websites and professional/college/community relationships and candidates
- Recruit and source for a variety of professional positions, as needed, ensuring the best candidates are selected and both internal and external hires meet the qualifications and proficiencies required for the position
- Use standard methodologies and selection strategies, marketing and social tools, career sites, programs and external vendors to attract candidates
- Clearly identify capability and potential by conducting leader interviews
- Craft outreach online campaigns designed to increase the candidate pipeline into Aviva’s interview cycle
- Work with hiring managers to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed via the appropriate criteria
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with leaders, vendors, community organizations, as well as People Team members to build partnerships that yield success, predictable results, and credibility.
- Stay informed of trends, innovative recruiting techniques and standard methodologies in order to be an industry leader, and ensure we are hiring for the future
- Analyze employment metrics and trends to proactively respond to recruiting and retention needs in the organization and drive future decisions
- Ensure we are attracting a diverse slate of candidates
- Use feedback to build a profound candidate experience
What you’ll bring:
- Demonstrated ability in corporate recruiting. Prior experience in recruiting for entry and professional level positions (2-3 years)
- Solid knowledge of provincial legislation governing employee recruitment, selection, and hiring
- Demonstrable ability to recruit for a range of positions
- Strong search skills including Boolean search
- Demonstrable experience to recruit on a national, multi-location level
- Ability to work in shared service/matrix model
- Experience working with Application Tracking Systems
- Education/experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree/university degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Extensive knowledge of the full recruiting lifecycle
- Ability to meet targets, and be adaptable and flexible
- Must have strong initiative and excellent judgment skills/abilities
- Bilingualism in English and French would be considered an asset
