REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, psychology, or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in a similar role.
  • French advanced proficiency is required for this role.
  • IT Recruitment Experience and Localization industry are a plus.
  • Familiarity with full-cycle recruiting.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organization is paramount with a continuous desire to learn and improve.
  • Knowledge of hiring strategies, labor laws, and employment equity.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate in a remote-first environment.
  • The ability to thrive in the fast-paced and ever-changing environment of a startup is a must.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist at Alexa Translations, you will work with department managers to find the best employees for the organization and support with the onboarding of new employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifying the company’s hiring needs through discussions with department managers.
  • Managing the recruitment process to ensure it runs smoothly by mediating between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Use social media (LinkedIn, Facebook) and other job posting websites globally to advertise job vacancies.
  • Evaluate candidates, assess resumes and credentials, conduct initial interviews, and build a network of potential employees.
  • Analyze the recruitment process and make recommendations for improvement or changes.
  • Research and provide recommendations as to the best places to hire globally for various roles needed in the organization.
  • Ensuring all employee records are maintained and updated with new hire information.
  • Designing and implementing effective onboarding plans for employees.
  • Assist the operations team with vacation planning and enforcement across different geographic locations.
  • Thoroughly understand, live by, and advocate the company’s culture and values.
