The right candidate will be part of a high performing team and will be expected to have:

  • Experience dealing with stakeholders at all levels including Hiring Managers, external agencies/suppliers, different teams and personalities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate as part of a team.
  • Proven track record of meeting hiring goals.
  • A prior background in the veterinary profession would be beneficial.
  • Experience and interest in building social media recruitment strategies.
  • 3+ years’ experience in an end-to-end recruitment or talent acquisition role (either agency or in-house).
  • Strong experience in using an ATS and candidate pipeline build and nurturing.

Responsibilities:

Looking for a fun & exciting Talent Acquisition Specialist to join a forever growing team within the Animal Care and Veterinary Services industry. Supporting recruitment across the company by partnering with our hiring teams, advising on best practice and industry trends as well as running the end-to-end recruitment process. This is an exciting opportunity to step into an internal recruitment position, playing a large role in communicating the brand and value proposition to market as well as developing and executing recruitment and employer branding strategies.
This is a 12-month contract for approximately 24hours per week (with possible extension). Flexible work arrangements with a minimum of 1day per week in the AEA Head Office which is located in Springwood, Brisbane. Please note that initial training period will be completed solely in-office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with Hiring Managers to deliver end-to-end recruitment process for our hospital and support office roles.
  • Owning the full life cycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring and on boarding.
  • Creating and developing concise job briefs, executing recruitment strategies and writing targeted and compelling advertisements.
  • Work closely with People & Culture team on Remuneration & Benefits, Learning & Development, and Workforce Planning.
  • Coach Hiring Managers on effective recruitment practices.
  • Advising on the best go-to-market channel strategies & develop new sourcing strategies that reduce reliance on traditional advertising channels.
  • Building talent pool and candidate pipelines for key business roles, market mapping, building future networks and targeted headhunting.
  • Deliver on specific Talent Acquisition projects and broader HR projects e.g., succession planning, employment branding and reward and recognition programs.
