DESCRIPTION

At Carma, we’re more than just a car company, we’re on a mission to shake up the Australian automotive industry! As a digital pre-owned car dealership, we’re turning the car buying experience into a hassle-free, seamless journey that customers can truly enjoy. With our diverse and collaborative team managing everything from engineering to marketing and buying to reconditioning in-house, we’re powered by the best people and we’d love for you to come along for the ride.
At Carma, being a Talent Acquisition Specialist is about more than just hiring. You’ll be truly partnering with managers to support from resource planning and talent mapping to running hiring manager training—all while sourcing, assessing, and selecting top talent every day. If you’re versatile (hiring across roles from sales and buying to marketing and beyond), thrive in a fast-paced startup, and love a challenge, this is your chance to shape Carma’s future and make every hire count!

OKAY, LET’S TALK ABOUT YOU:

  • Experience in talent acquisition/ recruitment roles (preferably in-house) with exposure to a mix of different sorts of roles.
  • A knack for managing multiple priorities while keeping the quality bar high.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, building trust with people at all levels.
  • A proactive mindset, always looking for ways to improve how we find and grow talent at Carma.
  • Bonus: an interest or experience in the automotive industry or startups!
This is a full-time position, based in our Alexandria, Sydney office, with flexibility to work 1 - 2 days from home per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with managers to plan resourcing needs, map talent pipelines, and create impactful job descriptions.
  • Craft creative sourcing strategies and job adverts to attract the top talent across a range of roles.
  • Lead end-to-end hiring for roles that you’re working on, from interviews to onboarding and delivering an unforgettable candidate experience the entire way through.
  • Juggle priorities as you go, you might be managing some high volume recruitment on one hand, and challenging, hard-to-fill roles on the other.
  • Support hiring managers through training and sharing insights to improve our talent strategy and capability at Carma.
  • Collaborate on exciting projects to refine our hiring process and strengthen Carma’s employer brand.
