Responsibilities:

  • You will drive the promotion of Ciena roles to students and new graduates through on-campus programs and events, measuring ROI for each school.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating and leading a team of campus ambassadors.
  • You will oversee the budget for campus events and recruiting campaigns across North America.
  • You will travel during peak seasons to effectively executive on hiring strategies and manage campus presence and events.
  • You will work in partnership with our Talent Management team to oversee and execute the New Grad Mentorship Program.
  • You will manage the Hardware, Routing and Switching, and Global Customer Care portfolio for EIC hiring and work to build a continuous pipeline of Early in Career candidates and strive to strengthen Ciena’s conversion rate.
  • You will educate and equip hiring managers with the necessary tools and interviewing skills for successful candidate assessment.
  • Ensure managers are made aware of key dates, processes, supporting documentation and tools designed to ensure an efficient and optimal experience for all involved in the hiring process.
  • You will take ownership of the Early In Career (EIC) diversity initiatives and forge partnerships with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) for event support and participation.
  • You will analyze essential metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
  • You will leverage a variety of social media channels to demonstrate thought leadership and increase awareness of the Ciena brand.
  • You will serve as a talent acquisition consultant, building trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and utilizing data and metrics to shape conversations related to labor market dynamics, candidate trends, recruitment strategy and competitive compensation packages.
  • You will build connections and leverage relationships with representatives from Campus Career centers
