The Talent Acquisition Specialist leads and supports the full-cycle recruitment process, including building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, proactively building a talent pipeline, sourcing, and screening candidates, as well as executing the recruitment strategies to attract talent for active and future opportunities within Empire.
This role is located at our Empire Canada Head Office in Vaughan, ON.

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day
- Implement strategies to source active and passive applicants and candidates through various channels i.e., social media, career fairs, employee referrals, job boards, networks, community outreach, etc. while screening and recommending qualified candidates to hiring leaders
- Work collaboratively with the hiring manager to understand current and future hiring needs, including behavioral and technical competencies required for the role
- Continuously build a talent pipeline and talent pools for future opportunities and hard-to-fill positions
- Generate, prepare, and distribute recruitment analytics to business leaders and identify recruitment trends of process improvements and provide recommendations to elevate talent acquisition at Empire
- Propose, plan, implement and evaluate participation in career fairs, networking opportunities, school partnerships and/or events to enhance Empire Communities brand in the market
