Description:

Title: Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist
Reports To: Talent Acquisition Manager
Based at: Mucci Pac Ltd., Kingsville, Ontario
Revised: November 13, 2024
Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, extended hours depending on workload and priorities, which will include Saturdays, and possible Sundays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Recruiter or Talent Acquisition Specialist
  • Previous experience recruiting for U.S roles
  • Proficiency with recruiting from social media, resume databases including LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed
  • Proven experience working with staffing agencies when necessary
  • Hands on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
  • A high degree of urgency and effectiveness is required for this role
  • Ability to deal with multiple positions simultaneously as well as mass recruitment initiatives
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, (verbal and written communication) with Hiring Managers and candidates
  • A strong understanding of the various roles within organizations; the ability to recruit at the various levels of the organization
  • Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task and to reprioritize tasks on a daily basis
  • Knowledge of HR related policies and procedures
  • Excellent documentation, computer and time management skills

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
  • Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
  • Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F.

Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting, (all levels of the organization)
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs
  • Determine selection criteria
  • Source potential candidates through online channels (eg: social platforms and professional networks)
  • Identify best practices for recruiting and sourcing candidates to ensure effectiveness for time to hire
  • Plan interview and selection procedures, including pre-screening candidates, assessments, skills testing, panel interviews, references
  • Create and update job descriptions to reflect position requirements
  • Organize employer branding initiatives related to recruiting
  • Source and organize various recruitment events such as career fairs, online campaigns, etc.
  • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates
  • Maintain a database of both active and potential candidates
