Description:

WHY JOIN NELSONS?

Nelsons is one of the largest and fastest growing law firms in the East Midlands with offices in Leicester, Derby and Nottingham.
We look to empower our clients, to give them a voice, fight for them, help them seek justice and steer them through complex legal issues they face. The desire to push ourselves forwards to better serve our clients has been a constant throughout our evolution.

Responsibilities:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People & Culture team at Nelsons.
Our successful candidate will have experience of talent sourcing, specifically completing the research (inclusive of talent mapping) and making the initial approaches to both active and passive candidates, required to build an impressive pipeline of talent. They will know where to find the talent we need and be capable of successfully engaging prospective applicants.
They will also be responsible for the interview and selection process, delivering a superior candidate experience guiding them through. The successful incumbent will work in partnership with Hiring Managers and drive a process which is inclusive, robust and timely. To achieve this an understanding of professional/legal services and established networks will be important. Previous experience agency side could also be advantageous.
Our successful candidate will have experience of developing recruitment campaigns with high impact to the market and that attract a diverse range of candidates and skill sets. They will be skilled at designing assessment centres, and competency and behavioural exercises that bring rigour and drive inclusivity to the process.
Forging relationships with numerous internal and external stakeholders, our Talent Acquisition Specialist will be articulate and present well at all levels. They will be confident and energetic and have a good understanding of the firms’ culture and ethos to be a positive ambassador for the brand and ensure cultural alignment. Networking skills are key, and our Talent Acquisition Specialist will need to source candidates through various methods including social media channels, networking events, advertising, and direct introductions to prospective candidates to build up their network and increase referrals and produce shortlists for roles.
Handling all communications between candidates and the firm, good written and verbal communication and listening skills are essential to be able to fully understand the role requirements and manage the expectations of candidates. Excellent time management and organisational skills will ensure that multiple recruitment campaigns run smoothly, and tasks are prioritised when there are multiple projects to handle. An ability to manage data in relation to costs and KPI’s will also enable progress and success to be monitored and measured.
In return our Talent Acquisition Specialist will develop professionally and be involved in the design of the overall talent attraction strategy and ongoing review of existing processes and procedures and play a key role in creating the right first impression and raising the profile of the firm.
Due to the nature of the role, previous experience working within internal recruitment structures would be desirable.
