We are hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join us on our mission to provide 100% fresh, filtered air and smart technology for maximum comfort and value. This position will play a key role in our success moving forward and partner closely with our operational and engineering teams to recruit top talent. While the role primarily focusses on Talent Acquisition, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to support people operations in an as-needed basis.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Post secondary education in Human Resources
  • CPHR designation (or eligible)
  • Minimum 3 yrs of recruitment experience, preferably in a manufacturing, engineering or technology focussed company.
  • Willingness to learn and grow with technology and new trends in recruitment.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to connect with potential candidates.
  • Exceptional time management skills, ability to multi-task and execute.Excellent computer skills (O365, HRIS).

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition (75% of the role)

  • Own the hiring process from candidate application to their orientation.
  • Take full ownership of the candidate experience, and act as a positive representative to Oxygen8’s culture.
  • Coordinate and participate in interviewing and the selection process.
  • Develop new and novel sourcing approaches and tap into the best talent pools for different levels of positions.
  • Create salary recommendations based on candidate skills and experiences, approved salary ranges, and internal equity.
  • Participate in staffing plan development, in coordination with P&C team and Leadership.
  • Be the primary point of contact with our external recruitment partners.
  • Assist the marketing team in our social media communications, aimed at raising our brand awareness amongst potential candidates.
  • Manage the Engineering co-op student recruitment program.
  • Implement and drive external recruitment initiatives such as career fairs and other outreach, that support strategic objectives.
  • Assist the P&C team with the administrative side of the onboarding process.Provide HR Business partner support to internal managers and supervisors, providing coaching and support as it relates to recruitment best practices, interviewing techniques and candidate selection.

PEOPLE OPERATIONS (25% OF THE ROLE):

  • Provide HR support to managers and supervisors on employee relations matters
  • Coordinate the offboarding process, including exit interviews
  • Support employees with general HR inquiries
  • Support the administration of employee files, leaves, and handbook/policy updates.
  • Support with the administration of company benefits.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of P&C projects, process improvements, training, and other initiatives.Other duties as required.
