Description:

JOIN OUR GLOBAL TALENT ACQUISITION TEAM IN COWI!

To grow our business in North America, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join us in either New York, Seattle or Vancouver. Working on predominately engineering-focused careers you’ll collaborate with our global team of talent acquisition professionals to deliver on recruitment activities at an operational level.
COWI’s People and Organization team consists of more than 100 skilled HR specialists across the globe. Reporting to the Head of People and Organisation, North America, you’ll join our global team of recruitment experts and work closely with colleagues within the team. We are an international team of 15 recruitment professionals situated in Sweden, Denmark, U.K., India, Canada and Norway. We collaborate closely across borders, and we are central contributors to COWI’s development.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle for business-critical roles, focusing on sourcing passive candidates in the US and Canada.
  • Conduct market intelligence and monitor job markets to identify talent-sourcing opportunities.
  • Develop and lead talent acquisition initiatives and projects for key positions.
  • Partner with local Talent Acquisition Specialists, HR Business Partners, and global recruitment teams to ensure strategic hiring.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, privacy regulations, OFCCP, EEO, and COWI’s TA code of conduct.
  • Build a strong talent pipeline to support company growth by collaborating with hiring managers and advising operational leaders.
  • Use data analysis to track recruitment metrics and provide insightful reports.

YOUR SKILLS. OUR TEAM. TOGETHER WE DESIGN THE FUTURE.

The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners, or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that, you’ll have:

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience in construction, technical, or engineering sectors in the US or Canada (preferred).
  • Strong English communication skills (written & verbal) and experience sourcing passive talent via LinkedIn and other platforms.
  • Ability to translate business needs into talent acquisition strategies, with experience in a multinational, multicultural environment.
  • Strong time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
