POSITION SUMMARY
The Talent and Culture Manager is a full-time, exempt position based in our Kansas City, MO office. Proactive and strategic leader will be instrumental in shaping and executing our firm’s talent and culture strategy, with a strong emphasis on professional development, employee development and engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The role involves close collaboration with internal leadership cohorts including Talent Leaders, Practice Group Leaders, Office Managing Partners and the DEI Committee, ensuring alignment of strategic initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive workplace. This position offers a unique opportunity to help evolve the talent and culture organization supporting and delivering a holistic talent strategy that aligns with the firm’s long-term goals.
Primary Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in human resources, talent management, or organizational development, with a focus on culture and engagement.
- Proven experience in a professional services environment, preferably within a law firm.
- 2-3 years of demonstrated expertise in DEI practices, engagement strategy, and professional development initiatives to align DEI initiatives with broader organizational goals.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the firm.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position is generally sedentary in nature; involves sitting most of the time but may involve the need for inter-office mobility for brief periods of time.
Ability to occasionally or routinely lift up to 10 – 20 lbs.
Ability to efficiently communicate.
Ability to perform repetitive motions required.
Ability to see and read PC screens, detect color coding, read fine print, and/or normal type size print.
