Description:
WE’RE PUTTING TOGETHER A TALENTED TEAM TO BUILD THE #1 TRAINING PLATFORM FOR RUNNERS
We help everyday runners become outstanding by providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you’re improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon. To date we have built iOS, Android and Apple watch apps that help people achieve their goals by coaching them through the full journey and syncing to their favourite fitness devices.
We’re growing extremely fast and in November 2023 closed a new $6.5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. In 2024, we were selected by Apple as one of three global finalists for the 2024 iPhone App of the Year, reflecting the innovation and impact of what we’ve built. We want to grow as fast as we can into the future and are looking for individuals who will help us get there. For more about our background and growth check out our Careers Page!
We’re now looking ahead to the future and the people who want to help us build and scale Runna. Our aim is to reach millions of subscribers in the next 5 years and be the go-to training platform for any runner. Now is a magical time to join, we’re still small, and everyone makes a foundational difference.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
To help us scale, we’re looking for a Talent Associate (Junior Talent Partner) who can juggle high-volume hiring across all business areas, while maintaining top-in-class candidate experience. We want someone who’s super organised, who can drive an end-to-end process (from brief to offer), and who delights in thinking creatively in how to source diverse top-talent across all roles. It’s an incredibly exciting time to join the team, and play a huge part of our growth journey!
You will be part of the growing People & Talent Team based in London, and report to Emily Court (Talent Lead).
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
If you don’t quite meet all of the below skills, we’d still love to hear from you as we might be able to tweak the role slightly or offer you a position better suited for you.
- Proven experience in high-volume talent acquisition across a variety of functions (ideally in a tech or startup environment). You should be comfortable handling a fast-paced and evolving workload, with an eye for detail.
- You’ve had experience in being part of an in-house talent team
- You’ve got a strong understanding of how to build and promote an employer brand that attracts top-tier candidates, while keeping things authentic and true to the company’s culture.
- You love connecting with people, building relationships with candidates, and working alongside hiring managers to truly understand their needs. You have amazing communication skills both written and verbal.
- You’re familiar with using recruitment software, applicant tracking systems, and all the tools that make recruiting easier and more efficient (currently we are using Workable!)
- You’ve got a proactive mindset and are always looking for ways to optimise the recruitment process. You can pivot quickly and handle multiple priorities at once, while keeping everything on track.
- You genuinely care about finding the best people for the team, and are excited to help candidates find their perfect role within our company.
WE OFFER A SALARY OF £33,000-£45,000 (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE), PLUS EQUITY IN THE FORM OF RUNNA STOCK OPTIONS.
We’ll be growing our package of benefits over time. We currently offer:
- Flexible working (we typically work 2-3 days in our office in Vauxhall)
- Salary reviews every 6 months or whenever we raise more investment
- 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays
- A workplace pension scheme
- A brand new Macbook, a running watch of your choice, and anything else you need to do your best work
- Private health insurance
- Enhanced family care policy (3 months fully paid leave when a new Runna joins the family, fertility support & other benefits)
- An hour slot each week (during work time) to do a Runna workout
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Owning the Recruitment Process: You’ll manage the full hiring cycle for multiple roles across different teams, from marketing and sales to engineering and operations. Whether it’s sourcing, interviewing, or offering, you’ll be the driving force behind our recruitment efforts.
- Champion Candidate Experience: We want candidates to have a killer experience from the first point of contact. You’ll make sure our values, culture, and mission are reflected at every stage of the recruitment process.
- Sourcing Talent: You’ll be using your creative sourcing techniques (job boards, social media, networking, referrals, etc.) to find a variety of top candidates who align with our company’s vision and needs.
- Interviewing and Assessing: You’ll be responsible for evaluating candidates on both their technical ability and cultural fit, ensuring that we continue to hire people who align with Runna’s values.
- Data-Driven Recruiting: You’ll analyse recruitment metrics to make sure we’re hitting our goals and continuously improving our strategies. It’s all about being efficient and effective!
