Responsibilities:
What you will do:
- Headhunting: Actively search for top talent through platforms like LinkedIn, professional networks and industry events.
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract diverse talent through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking evenings and partnerships with educational institutions.
- Candidate Engagement: Build relationships with potential candidates by engaging with them and providing timely updates about job opportunities. Maintain a continuous pool of applicants to ensure proactive recruitment.
- Collaboration with Hiring Leaders: Work closely with hiring leaders to understand their recruitment needs, job requirements, and team dynamics, ensuring alignment with candidate profiles.
- Job Postings and Applicant Tracking: Develop job postings for open positions and share them on multiple job boards throughout Canada. Manage and provide training on our internal Applicant Tracking System (JazzHR). Review incoming resumes, conduct pre-screen interviews.
- Interview Coordination: Facilitate the interview process by scheduling interviews with candidates and hiring leaders, preparing interview materials and providing feedback to candidates. Participate in interviews when necessary.
- Preemployment: Perform reference checks, create offers, and send out communications to unsuccessful candidates.
- New Hire Onboarding: Follow onboarding guidelines, ensure all preemployment paperwork is completed and requirements for both safety and non-safety sensitive roles have been fulfilled. Ensure leaders have an onboarding plan in place and lead orientations, as needed.
- Data Analysis: Work with the HR Manager in preparing and reporting HR Metrics and Statistics monthly, quarterly and annually. Analyze recruitment metrics and trends to assess the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and improve talent attraction efforts.
- Leadership: Able to effectively oversee a team member, delegating tasks as needed while ensuring clear communication and accountability. Provide ongoing support and mentorship to foster their professional growth and development, offering guidance and constructive feedback to enhance their skills and performance.
