QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years of Human Resources experience, with experience in recruitment and onboarding
  • Completion of Human Resources diploma or certificate, or a combination of relevant education and experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working with a HRIS system, applicant tracking system is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to network across all levels and all disciplines in the organization
  • Ability to facilitate orientation and other trainings as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to obtain a valid GAMW Registration
  • Ability to complete all online BCLC Certifications
  • Ability to obtain a Serving it Right Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs
  • Required to sit, stand and walk during working hours

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full-cycle recruitment
  • Complete admin for new hires, including data entry into company HRIS (ADP Workforce Now) and IT and Access Card setup
  • Work with hiring managers to determine recruiting needs for all hourly/salaried positions
  • Post job openings across various platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, Jostle, etc)
  • Develop recruitment plans and creative sourcing strategies for candidates, including researching and organizing job fairs and attending trade shows and school/community events, as needed
  • Represent and market the Casino as an employer of choice to potential recruitment sources. i.e. colleges, universities, work practicum, placement agencies, etc.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date job descriptions for all positions
  • Align recruitment strategies with job markets and promote within the recruitment budget
  • Complete screening interviews for salaried positions and make recommendation of candidacy
  • Assist hiring managers with constructing tests/CatSCAN and behavior structured interview guides
  • Answer queries related to job openings and conduct employment interviews with department Hiring Managers that are related to salaried positions
  • Prepare and deliver offer letters
  • Enhance and improve employee onboarding experience, including delivery of new employee orientation training sessions
  • Seek out new relationships and maintain current relationships with diversity & inclusion community partners
  • Responsible to manage the Inclusive Employment Program
  • Designated company Employment Equity Rep
  • Chair various Associates committees, when needed
  • Assist with other HR projects and initiatives, as needed
