The hotel features 239 well appointed rooms, along with a great restaurant, a cafe, bar, heated rooftop swimming pool, spa, sauna and gym. Business guests are well catered for at Mercure Perth with 6 modern meeting rooms available, accommodating up to 350 delegates.
Job Description
As Talent & Culture Manager for Mercure and ibis Perth, you will be responsible for providing guidance of the human resource function across the two hotels.
With significant HR experience, including industrial relations, you will be keen to take your next step in a high performing team. With advanced communication skills and an ability to identify, develop, and engage talent, you will be an advocate for both employees and the hotels. This is a role that partners with the business to drive engagement and ensure the hotels meet guest and owner expectations.
You will also support Managers and Supervisors on everything people related through coaching, performance management and talent development. You will have a warm and welcoming presence and be able to foster our service culture through talent strategies.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline
  • Sound knowledge of Western Australian employment and Worker’s Compensation legislation
  • Understanding of the HIGA Award
  • Experience managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Articulate communicator, both verbal and written with strong organisation skills
  • Ability to adapt to varying changes in pace and meet deadlines

This is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave and commencing late August 2024 until late October 2025
