About The Role
Due to business growth we have an exciting new opportunity for a Talent & Culture Manager to join our newly created L&D team. The Talent and Culture Manager will be responsible for leading the Talent and Succession process across Whitehaven. This role is also responsible for leading the Engagement (yearly survey) and Culture initiatives which align to the WHC People Strategy.
This role will sit within the Learning and Development team, however will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team, the P&C Business Partners and Systems teams to ensure processes are strategically aligned to workforce planning and are digitally led for ease of reporting, tracking and monitoring.
What You’ll Do

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the yearly talent and succession mapping process, including the facilitation of talent process sessions for leaders and facilitation of team calibration sessions
  • Providing input into the development plans for key / critical roles.
  • Assisting the General Manager L&D with ELT talent and succession planning, including exec reporting
  • Owning and managing the employee engagement survey including supporting teams with interpreting results and developing action plans.
  • Analyzing data, providing insights and designing action plans to address survey results
  • Partnering with Talent Acquisition to build functional strategic workforce plans (current & predictive) to inform employee pipeline
  • Overseeing the implementation and continuous upkeep of WHC’s Capability Development Framework to identify and address future skills development priorities.

What You’ll Bring

  • Extensive experience (min 10yrs) in human resources, workforce planning and talent management
  • Extensive experience specifically leading talent and succession processes
  • Strong experience in leading the delivery of yearly engagement surveys to diverse workforce
  • Strong analytical thinking and data literacy skills, experienced in spotting trends and themes within data
  • Ability to distil results and provide strategic reporting on outcomes to senior leaders within the organisation.
