Your role
As Leadership Development Specialist, you will work systematically on leadership development at both a strategic and concrete level, ensuring that Saab is well-prepared for the future. You will focus on identifying the skills and qualities our future leaders need while designing the strategies and initiatives that build these competencies across the organisation. In addition to fostering talent, you will play a crucial role in succession planning, ensuring a strong pipeline of leaders ready to meet evolving demands. Collaborating closely with management, other HR functions, and key stakeholders, you will help ensure that Saab´s people strategy aligns with our vision for sustainable leadership development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct current-state analysis to identify leadership development needs across the organisation
  • Develop long-term strategies that address organisational goals and translate these strategies into actionable steps and tailored activities
  • Collaborate closely with systems managers to ensure our tools and technologies evolve alongside organisational needs and effectively support leadership development initiatives
  • Design, coordinate, and oversee deliverery of leadership development programs that support both immediate needs and future ambitions (in close collaboration with L&D)
  • Execute group Succession Planning process
  • Monitor and evaluate strategy and process effectiveness, making recommendations for continuous improvement

You should possess a genuine energy and drive, with the ability to work independently while also being eager to learn and grow. A passion for innovation and a love for creating something new are vital to this role.

  • A relevant academic degree, preferably in Business, or equivalent
  • A background in roles such as Talent Management, Leadership Development, Human Capital Management, or HR consultancy with a focus on succession planning is ideal
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in Leadership Development and Succession Planning at a strategic level
  • Experience working within a matrix organisation on a global scale
  • Experience with working in HR enterprise software

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
