Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

As part of the Talent, Learning & Development (T,L&D) team, the consultant role is responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating learning across the organisation. You will be responsible for the delivery of different learning sessions, including induction and part of the Line Managers Essential (LME) suite of materials, utilising a variety of different delivery methods. In addition, you will provide advice on learning & development solutions to customers and stakeholders. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement to regularly refine and enhance the quality of service provided by the team. In the future, your role may include line management duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver a variety of learning activities to OPG L&D quality assurance standards within agreed deadlines, including part of the Line Manager Essentials (LME) suite of materials and induction.
  • Participate and contribute towards the design of new products and the review of existing ones.
  • Deliver workshops and facilitate mentoring circles as part of the suite of development programmes.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis
  • Complete 1:1 Career Consultations with staff
  • Proactively look for ways to improve services and delivery, working with the team to suggest and introduce improvements.
  • Support the use of the OPG Academy through promotion and creation of resources.
  • Provide advice on learning solutions to fit the needs of different business areas.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects as agreed with your manager to support the development and delivery of OPG’s People Promise and the T,L&D team’s Action Plans. The duties will be appropriate to the skills set of this post.
  • Support and contribute to the aims, objectives, and performance of the OPG as a whole.
