Job Description
Talent & Learning Solutions Consultant (TLSC)

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, Learning & Talent Development, the Talent & Learning Solutions Consultant will support the development, delivery, deployment, and compliance of organizational talent development and learning programs to various business units. The TSLC will also support a range of learning and talent operations functions, including talent development, succession planning, engagement surveys, employee coaching, employee retention initiatives, learning system administration, and vendor management. The successful candidate will have strong project management skills and experience working within numerous facets of learning and development.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS

  • Strong project management and prioritization skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously to meet timelines.
  • Ability to work across various business units – managing differences, expectations, and relationships.
  • Considerable experience in designing, developing, and delivering a variety of training courses, programs, and curricula to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in succession planning and talent management.
  • Experience with coaching, consulting, and facilitation.
  • Ability to support and lead change.
  • Confidence in working with new technology and learning new software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively with multiple groups across the business.
  • Ability to lead workgroups.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Learning & Development or Organizational Development.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Adult Education, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), E-Learning Authoring Tools (Articulate 360), and Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Experience in Manufacturing an asset.
  • Experience administrating Workday learning an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the design of end-to-end learning solutions and training content in alignment with Company needs.
  • Supports the development and distribution of learning material, including training presentations,e-learning modules, facilitator guides, and job aids.
  • Supports the rollout of learning programs and initiatives across several business units, often making customizations and accommodations best suited for each business.
  • Works alongside team members to facilitate soft-skills and leadership training sessions, in-person and virtually.
  • Incorporates blended learning and adult learning principles to the appropriate instructional mediums, including self-led programs, instructor-led programs, e-learning and classroom programs.
  • Supports the launch of Company Engagement Surveys and supports business needs by presenting functional results, developing action planning processes, conducting focus groups, leading steering committees, and facilitating action planning discussions with leaders.
  • Supports the delivery of L&D initiatives by coordinating and executing program logistics, organizing necessary materials, and managing facility support.
  • Supports the day-to-day operations of Workday Learning (LMS).
  • Works closely with North American plants to ensure training compliance (HSE, HR, job-specific) and enhance training experience by revising the onboarding experience and digitizing static training.
  • Supports organizational development through the development or enhancement of various programs (Onboarding, Supervisor Development, Manager Development, LMS, Pulse Surveys, Wellness, etc.).
  • Supports Company employee engagement and mental health and wellness related initiatives.
  • Evaluates the impact and return on investment of L&D initiatives by tracking learning metrics, measuring impact of learning and progress against goals to make recommendations on existing and future initiatives.
  • Performs cross-functional activities and/or other duties, as required.
