Responsibilities:

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The role is responsible for drive research, design and global deployment of Talent Management solutions as per agreed strategy and agreed road maps.

These solutions typically are of the following nature:

  • New to World initiatives, involving introduction of a new solution to BAT
  • Significant overhaul of a previously deployed solution, involving redesign and redeployment
  • Deep dive analytics on a specific topic to generate insights for input into People Strategy or Corporate strategy

Reports to: Head of Talent Management
Working relationships: HR global CoEs, DBS teams, Regional/DRBU T&OE Managers, Centre function and other HRBPs, Global Comms, Global Procurement, Global Legal & Cora, External suppliers (as relevant to the specific project)

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Deploying Talent Management global projects and initiatives. Designing the deployment plan and lead implementation of the plan, ensuring all relevant parties (e.g. Procurement, Legal, DBS, BCT) are aligned and risks are handled. This involves, depending on the project/programme, ensuring effective implementation/post implementation review/improvements, relevant change communications, users training documentation/facilitation and system/systems integration readiness, as well as measures of success analysis.
  • Gathering external and internal best practices, as well as key internal insights to inform new talent products/process design. Present them in insightful/powerful visualizations and data analytics to be further used in forming recommendations around a solution.
  • Equipping HR teams (HRBPs, GBS) with necessary skills and knowledge for BAU execution on an ongoing basis; support in creation of training materials, global guidelines for the main Talent Management Processes (Performance Management, Talent Review) execution, deliver the content in training session, evaluate feedback and make continuous improvement based on that.
  • Designing and support stakeholder engagements within and outside HR to secure buy-in and alignment for the new solutions/programmes.
  • Advising and managing multiple projects (scope/scale/timelines may differ) concurrently from design to deployment.
  • Collaborating closely with internal partners and COE to understand challenges and opportunities and ensure solutions meet their needs (continuous improvement of technology, process and people experience).
  • Assessing the efficiency of the solution post-implementation and ensure a smooth transition to the BAU process.
  • Partnering with third party suppliers (where required) for technology, infrastructure development and deployment assets at scale.
