Tank Development Engineer - Nyx Earth

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
As a talented Tank Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, testing, verification, and validation of our propellant tanks and pressure vessels.

In your capacity as a Tank Development Engineer, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include to (or As a core member of the Propulsion team, your duties will include):

• Specification and design of equipped liquid propellant tanks and pressure vessels, including the tank’s internal architecture.
• Design of mechanical interfaces for the tanks and pressure vessels for accommodation in the vehicle space allocation and integration envelope.
• Review of static & dynamic load inputs, material properties & test as well as component requirements.
• Analysis and sizing of tanks and pressure vessels to ensure timely design reviews and drawing release.
• Develop and support hardware test campaigns, including test integration, operation, and result evaluation.
• Coordinate component manufacturing and integration with manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test engineers as well as external partners.
