POSITION SUMMARY

Join our client as a Junior Tax Accountant on a contract basis in Perth. This 3-6 month role, with potential for extension, offers an exciting opportunity to enhance your career in finance and accounting. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with GST returns, Tax Effect Accounting, and Income Tax Return preparation. Experience with CCH Integrator and mid/large ERP systems, particularly Sun, will be advantageous. Ideal candidates will hold or be nearing completion of a CA, CPA, or Masters of Tax. Start your journey on September 1, 2024, and make a significant impact in a dynamic professional services environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and filing of GST returns.
  • Support Tax Effect Accounting processes.
  • Prepare Income Tax Returns.
  • Utilize CCH Integrator for tax-related tasks (advantageous).
  • Work with the Sun accounting system or similar mid/large ERP systems.

About the candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CA, CPA, or Masters of Tax (completed or nearing completion)
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in tax accounting
  • Proficiency in GST returns, Tax Effect Accounting, and Income Tax Return preparation
  • Experience with CCH Integrator (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with mid/large ERP systems, preferably Sun
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to start by September 1, 2024
