Description:

We are in search of a Tax Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be based in Tustin, California, and will be part of our finance department. The Tax Accountant will be mainly responsible for handling customer inquiries, processing credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer inquiries and provide solutions efficiently
  • Process and analyze customer credit applications to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure accuracy
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations
  • Utilize accounting software systems to streamline processes
  • Perform auditing tasks to ensure financial accuracy
  • Carry out bookkeeping functions and account reconciliations
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of Tax Accounting
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
  • Experience with CaseWare
  • Knowledge of CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax
  • Ability to perform Accounting Functions
  • Experience in Auditing
  • Proficiency in Bookkeeping Functions
  • Knowledge of Compliance procedures
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
