Description:
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Accountant in Sherman Oaks, California. As a Tax Accountant, you will be tasked with auditing, ensuring compliance, and preparing financial statements.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing and preparing tax returns and reports
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Prepare and present detailed reports on audit findings
- Review financial statements for accuracy and legality
- Develop and implement effective strategies to optimize tax obligations
- Ensure all tax records are maintained accurately and updated as required
- Communicate effectively with clients and management regarding tax practices and strategies
- Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and policies
- Assist in financial planning and strategy development based on tax laws and regulations
- Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Has a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Demonstrates proficiency in auditing and compliance procedures
- Shows a strong understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis
- Displays excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Has experience with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
- Displays excellent organizational and time management skills
- Shows the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of tax codes and regulations
- Has experience in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns
- Shows the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Shows the ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Has experience in tax planning and strategy implementation.
