WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Tax Specialist to support our US Indirect Tax Team. For this candidate to be successful, they must have a basic understanding of accounting and tax, be highly self-motivated and directed, committed to solving problems efficiently, and interested in being part of an organization committed to continuous growth and improvement. This is a position that must be able to set the standard for integrity and professionalism, while interacting with a diverse team.

THE SKILLS YOU’LL NEED

  • Previous travel or industry related experience is preferred
  • Bilingual English / Spanish required.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fluent in English (reports to US and work with teams in the US and Latam)
  • Proficient Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • Highly organized and thorough
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Office and Google apps for business
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to change
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

Responsibilities:

  • Register and maintain hospitality/sales tax accounts with various government agencies
  • Analyze and format data for timely hospitality/sales tax return filing
  • Process payments in support of compliance and tax filings
  • Follow filing procedures and internal controls
  • Other administrative tasks and projects as needed
  • Other duties, as assigned.
