QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• A few years of experience in VAT accounting, with specific knowledge of Italy and Poland VAT regulations preferred.
• Experience with Workday financial systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English. Knowledge of Italian or Polish is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Experience with ERP systems and Excel.
• VAT accounting and TB reconciliation.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

Just Eat Takeaway, a leading global online food delivery platform, is seeking a VAT Analyst to support our VAT team. The ideal candidate will have experience in VAT accounting, with a strong preference for experience in Italy and Poland VAT regulations. This role will be based in our London office in Fleet Place House.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support VAT compliance, planning, and reporting for Just Eat Takeaway, with a focus on Italy and Spain, alongside other jurisdictions.
• Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns and related filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in resolving internal VAT issues and support VAT audits.
• Work closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and business units to resolve VAT issues and ensure VAT compliance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VAT legislation changes, especially in Italy and Poland and Spain
• Act as a subject matter expert in projects related to VAT.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure VAT accounting tasks are completed accurately and on time.
