The Tax Analyst/Senior Tax Analyst role will require the ability to assist with tax compliance, reporting, and planning, with a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset. As a Tax Analyst/Senior Tax Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing the company’s tax obligations, optimizing tax strategies, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
The Tax Analyst/Senior Tax Analyst is a team player, who works closely with Managers, as they assist in related tax issues, such as:
Tax Compliance: Assist with the preparation of Canadian corporate and partnership tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely filing. Assist with the monitoring of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Tax Planning & Strategy: Assist in the development and implement of effective tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position. Conduct tax research and provide guidance on complex tax issues.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of tax-related financial statement disclosures and notes. Ensure that tax provisions are accurately calculated and reflected in the financial statements.
Audit Support: Assist with external tax audits as they arise, including preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
